Shoreline Protection Project
Mecklenburg County, VA

Description:
This project consists of the placing of riprap and turf slope reinforcement protection along approximately 800 LF of shoreline in Campground C and the Day Use Area of Occoneechee State Park. Commissioned by the Wilmington district of the United States Army Corps of Engineers, this project also includes the planting of decorative shrubbery chosen to complement indigenous plant life. N-Powell Company is acting as prime contractor on this competitive bid project that is in progress and will be completed in April of 2005, thirty (30)  days ahead of schedule.
